"The Journal of Staff, Program and Organization Development" is published quarterly as a medium for the exchange of information, both practical and theoretical, regarding the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of practices and programs related to the effective and efficient functioning of institutions of higher education and the individuals within those institutions. The Journal has four "affiliate organizations." The group as a whole has agreed to support scholarly study, communication, and progress within the fields of staff, program, and organization development and to promote and further the fields as integral and necessary components of institutions of higher education. The four affiliate organizations are: (1) National Council of Instructional Administrators; (2) National Council for Staff, Program & Organizational Development; (3) National Council on Student Development; and (4) National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development. Typical issues in the Journal contain a half dozen articles and various announcements and resource reviews dealing with the field. Grouped together in this compilation are the eight issues published during 1984-1985. (AA)
