Washington State University Transfer Guide, 1986-87.
Washington State Univ., Pullman. Office of Admissions.
This transfer guide provides supplemental counseling for community college students from throughout Washington who intend to transfer to Washington State University (WSU) in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree. The information it contains is designed to help students to identify the most appropriate courses for them to take prior to transferring to WSU. The first section presents such general information as how to apply for admission, regulations regarding returning students, the transfer of credits, and the associate in arts and/or science degree. This is followed by policies for nontraditional credit through means such as the college-level examination program, credit for armed forces courses, experiential learning, and advanced placement. The second section details general university requirements for graduation from WSU, including requirements in communications proficiency, arts and humanities, intercultural studies, social sciences, and the sciences. The third section describes all the transfer programs and the course requirements for majoring in them, including special admission policies, majors, and special departmental regulations. The last section provides course equivalents for every community college in the state of Washington, detailing the course name, whether it is transferable, whether it meets general university requirements, and restrictions and/or special notes.
