A Vocational/Special Education I.E.P. Planner.
Youshock, Joseph; Gilgannon, Nancy, Ed.
This booklet is intended to serve as a mechanism whereby special educators and vocational instructors can work cooperatively in developing an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for special needs students. The planner identifies appropriate occupational areas (horticulture, apparel assembly, carpentry, food service, and plumbing) and then proceeds to determine the vocational, safety, mathematics, and vocabulary tasks necessary for minimum performance in the occupation. Each section of the planner contains some or all of the following: shop name and subject area; an educational objective; frustration, instructional, and independence levels; and a checklist that cross-references competencies to spaces provided for instructors to record information concerning whether students have attained a given educational objective as well as the student's frustration, instructional, and independence levels in attempting to accomplish the task.
