Child Day Care Association of St. Louis, MO.
These booklets offer to infant/toddler group care programs complete guidelines for (1) safety and health and (2) minimum equipment inventory. The introduction to the safety and health guidelines stresses that adults should be alert and prepare the environment to minimize risks. Children then will be able to explore and play freely and safely. Relevent practices are outlined for the following: space and equipment; nutrition/feeding practices; sanitizing; diapering, toileting, and handwashing; and medications and accidents. The minimum equipment inventory provides extensive lists of safe, age-appropriate equipment and toys for both infant and toddler environments in group care settings. (DST)
