This guide is intended to help the student develop an experience profile--similar to a resume--on himself/herself that can be used to assist him/her in finding a job and in planning a career. Each of the eight sections in the guide is designed to help the student think about and write in complete sentences information that will be used to build the experience profile. The eight sections are (1) background information, (2) volunteer experiences, (3) leisure activities, (4) paid work experiences, (5) education and training, (6) work-related attitudes, (7) experience-related skills and abilities, and (8) references. Each section provides instructions on how to complete corresponding pages (forms) in the attached Career Passport Experience Profile, as well as any other activities/exercises included in that section.
