Control Ideology: Implications for Curriculum Change.
This paper examines, through reviews of research and current literature, the teacher pupil control ideology within the social context of school. An orientation to curriculum change is presented, and the concept of pupil control ideology is introduced. Pupil control ideology is examined in relation to teacher orientation to curriculum change, and several implications developed from the pupil control perspective are presented and discussed. (CB)
