Provided are guidelines and background information for use in applying for guaranteed loans through the Day Care Facilities Loan Guarantee Fund (the "Fund"), which is administered by the Maryland Department of Economic and Community Development. The purpose of the Fund is to guarantee loans made by lending institutions to finance the expansion or development of group or family day care facilities in Maryland. In addition to application information, this document provides (1) a copy of the day care guarantee fund application form, (2) a description of the program, (3) definitions of related concepts, and (4) reprints of legislation related to the fund.
