State Vocational Equipment Pool Survey.

This document reports on a study conducted to determine which States use State equipment pools to share vocational education equipment. Five States--Arkansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee--indicated that they have such pools. The report consists of the original letter of request for information and replies from the five states, along with the following descriptive materials and/or forms: Arkansas's loan agreement and local priority list; a description of the procedures for funding and maintaining North Carolina's equipment pool; a detailed description of Oklahoma's state equipment pool that contains funding information, operational procedures, transportation charges on equipment, equipment pool responsibilities, equipment pool transfer procedures, pool goals and objectives, an explanation of the equipment inventory loadsheets; and an inventory adjustment request form; an information packet on Pennsylvania's vocational education equipment pools that outlines the pool's purpose, eligibility requirements, proposal submission and change request procedures, program requirements, a private industry council review, available technical assistance, support levels and payment schedules, application elements, reporting obligations, and sample forms; and sample application and log forms from the Tennessee program.
