Developed as part of the reaccreditation process, this report represents a comprehensive self-analysis by the College of Lake County (CLC), which sought to involve the entire institution in an examination of CLC's mission, resources, accomplishments, and future plans. Chapter 1 introduces the self-study's purpose, participants, and processes; provides a history of accreditation at CLC; offers a description of the college and its setting; and presents summary conclusions. Chapter 2 presents and discusses CLC's mission statement as it appears in the college catalog, concluding that the statement is a detailed and meaningful description of the vision guiding the school. Chapter 3 provides an evaluation of CLC's organization of resources, focusing on governance and administration, human resources, financial resources, physical resources, educational programs and curriculum, and institutional services. Chapter 4 presents an assessment of the quality of student achievement, of administrative and educational services, of institutional life, and of CLC's contribution to outside communities. Chapter 5 suggests future directions for the college related to college mission, fiscal health, the institutional planning process, and trends.
