Blair, Brittain A.; And Others
A curriculum outline is presented for a competency-based program in electronics with an option in the emerging field of alternative energies. It begins with a list of common tasks performed by electronics technicians. Course descriptions are provided for nine courses in an electronics technology curriculum. The list of related tasks is included for each course. The report of the task analysis survey follows; task survey instructions and task evaluation sheets are then presented. A preliminary course list for an alternative energy option to an electronics program contains descriptions of and prerequisites for eight courses. The tasks for each of these courses are then listed. Other contents include the employee and employer surveys and their results. An appendix contains the information package with material on the energy management program. (YLB)
