An Evaluation Tool for a Teacher-Educator.
Shah, J. H.
A report is given on an evaluation instrument designed for use by education majors in evaluating teacher educators. The instrument consists of five sub-parts: (1) rating scales for individual instructors; (2) 24 behavioral statements, evenly balanced between positive and negative; (3) statements on "good-bad qualities" of teachers as well as other staff members; (4) a five-point scale for assessing the effectiveness of dissertation guidance; and (5) selection of the two best and two worst teachers on the faculty. Copies of the instrument are appended. A brief discussion is presented on an analysis of the results of an evaluation of the Education faculty at Gujarat University, India. (JD)
