Results of the College Board's Annual Survey of Colleges for 1984-1985 are presented, including data on college policies and procedures, enrollments, academic programs, freshman admissions, student life, and student financial aid. The 43 statistical tables are based on data from 3,093 two- and four-year colleges and universities. Most of the tables present national information broken down by institutional type and control. Also included are comparisons by state and six geographic regions. The enrollment section covers undergraduates, first-time freshmen, and graduate students, including breakdowns by student sex. Additional information includes: institutions offering associate, bachelor's, and graduate degree programs by Higher Education General Information Survey discipline; degrees conferred by region, institutional control, and college type; admissions selectivity; comparison of freshman applications, acceptances, and enrollment; high school curriculum requirements at four-year institutions; freshman class characteristics; colleges reporting five percent or more of students choosing selected areas of study; percentages of institutional grant, loan, and job dollars; grant and scholarship selection criteria; and tuition and/or fee-waiver policies.
