The first three sections of a videotape series intended for an on-going training program for administrators, assistant teachers, and teachers participating in the Mississippi Reading Improvement Program are described in this manual. It begins with information concerning the presentation of videotape segments, and contains sections on three video segments: time-on-task, team planning, and teacher leadership. Each section deals with the preparation for the segment, the concepts to be developed, the script synopsis for the videotape, preview and follow up questions, an introduction to handouts on the subject, handouts, and follow-up activities. Appendixes contain a child observation format and related instructional materials. (EL)
