Pneumatics. Student's Manual [and] Instructor's Guide.
Notgrass, Troy
The student's manual in this two-part instructional kit is designed to help the following types of students learn introductory technical material related to pneumatics: (1) groups of trade and industrial students with a variety of vocational objectives and (2) homogeneous groups in which the learning levels of individual students vary considerably. The manual is not intended to be used as a type of correspondence course, but must be used by students under the direct supervision of an instructor. The manual contains nine assignments covering the following topics: how to use the manual, introduction, air compressors, plastic piping, copper piping, conditioning compressed air systems, pressure gauges and volume meters, pneumatic working elements, and pneumatic valves. The student's manual is designed to use as many fundamental teaching principles as possible. Each assignment has four parts: objectives, technical information presented in a step-by-step fashion, exercises to apply the technical information, and tests (provided in the instructor's guide). The instructor's guide is designed to help teachers make certain that each student gets the greatest possible benefit out of both the student's manual and the training station sessions. Coordinated with the student manual, it provides the answers to the exercises in the manual and contains, beside the assignment test questions, the answers to the questions, and a worksheet to help in coordinating work experiences with the assignments.
