Advance College Project Final Evaluation Report: 1983-84 School Year.
The second year of the Indiana University (IU) Advance College Project (ACP), a cooperative program between IU and selected high schools within the State of Indiana was evaluated. The Project offers college credit to high school seniors who enroll in IU freshman courses offered at their home high schools. The purposes of the IU/ACP evaluation activities have been to facilitate project implementation by identifying strengths and weaknesses and documenting events within each high school; to assess how well IU's course standards are being met for each ACP/IU (Bloomington) course as it is taught within each high school; to assess the impact of the Project upon its various participants; and to establish a base line of data for the Project for later assessment of longitudinal trends. Students' and teachers' perceptions of the program were discussed. Appendices include ACP Student Questionnaire; Sample Course Evaluation Form; Sample Teacher Interview; and ACP Final Exam Administration Questionnaire. (DWH)
