These two reports analyze enrollments at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) by zip code between fall 1982 and fall 1984, by student major between spring 1981 and spring 1985, and by student educational goals for spring 1985. Highlighted findings include the following: (1) the enrollment from Oklahoma City showed a steady decline in terms of the percentage of the total enrollment at OCCC, going from 73.66% in fall 1982 to 70.51% in fall 1984; (2) the participation rate of Oklahoma City (enrollments divided by total population) averaged .0098 citywide, ranging from .0028 to .0193 between the least and most represented quadrants of the city; (3) the only institute showing enrollment growth between 1981 and 1985 was the Electronic Information Systems and Mathematics Institute, which was due to growth in the Data Processing and Mathematics programs; (4) steady enrollment growth was seen in the following programs: banking and finance, mid-management, physical therapy technology, communications, data processing, mathematics; (5) Business and Management continued to the be largest institute, and Communication and the Arts had the lowest number of majors; and (6) when asked to identify their educational goals as Special Interest, Job Enrichment, Transfer, Exploratory, Preparatory, Associate Degree, Certificate, or Undecided, the largest number of students indicated Special Interest goals, with the next largest group selecting Associate Degree for Immediate Job Entry.
