College Transfer Guidelines among Missouri Higher Education Institutions.

This report presents college transfer guidelines for Missouri higher education institutions. Introductory material provides a statement of the state's educational philosophy and a definition of elements involved in the articulation process. Next, guidelines are presented regarding transfer policy in the areas of the baccalaureate degree program; general education; associate degrees; transfer without a degree; institutional admission; program admission; the college catalog; change in major; transfer of credit; transfer of grades; credit by examination, experiential learning, and pass/fail credit; and state certification or statutory requirements. Then guidelines are provided for review procedures and include definitions of the role and functions of the Articulation Committee; and the appeal process for students refused admission. Finally, provisions for implementation of the guidelines are presented. Definitions of degree programs, undergraduate student status, and courses are appended. (HB)
