Intended to provide a base for vocational office education instructional programs at secondary and postsecondary levels in North Dakota, this task listing describes the skills needed to be performed by program completers, from the viewpoint of workers in office occupations. A listing of task validators (name, occupation, employer, business city, state, zip code) is provided. Four task lists are included: (1) a composite task listing of general secretarial tasks, general clerical tasks, and accounting/bookkeeping tasks; (2) general secretarial tasks; (3) general clerical tasks; and (4) accounting/bookkeeping tasks. The task lists are divided into these columns: duty (one of a worker's principal responsibilities); task number; secretarial, clerical, and/or accounting/bookkeeping occupational clusters and indication whether the task has been validated as entry level, not entry level, or not performed in that cluster; and the task statement.
