This handbook, designed to assist Kentucky school district personnel in planning school psychological services, is organized into four major sections. In the initial section, Overview of School Psychology, information on training and credentialing of school professionals is presented. This section includes information on state requirements for certification and accreditation. The next section, School Psychological Services, delineates the specific areas of responsibility in which school psychologists have training. The third section, Organization of School Psychological Services, addresses service delivery models, multidisciplinary team involvement, program evaluation and accountability, and working conditions. Finally, the Professional Standards section discusses issues relevant to professional functioning and development, including legal and ethical concerns, and appropriate professional practices.
