This volume contains over 60 ideas for use in implementing supervised occupational experience (SOE) programs. The ideas, which were submitted during a National SOE idea contest conducted in 1983, deal with the following aspects of SOE programs: program evaluation, program promotion, use of teacher and student aids, stimulation of individual student interest in SOE, planning of quality SOE programs, and expansion of existing SOE programs. Each idea description contains some or all of the following: the name and address of the person who submitted the idea, procedures for implementing the idea, suggested target students, program strengths, and potential program shortcomings. Appended to the volume are various sample forms for use in keeping the following types of information: student occupational experience plans, supervised project records, quarterly supervised occupational experience scores, grades, Future Farmers of America record book scores, and individualized instruction and project visitation evaluations.
