California Assessment Program Survey of Basic Skills, 1982-83. Annual Report, Grades 3, 6, and 12.

This report contains the 1982-83 results of the annual administration of the California Assessment Program's Survey of Basic Skills to 3rd, 6th, and 12th grade students in the Mount Diablo School District. The survey measures the reading, written language, and mathematics skill attainment of schools and districts, but not of individual students. The data are collected through matrix sampling: different parts of the tests are taken by different class segments and treated as a combined total. Results are presented in scaled scores (grades 3 and 6), percent correct scores (grade 12), percentile ranks, and comparison bands. Both district and individual school results are presented by grade for each skill area. District trends over six years are graphically illustrated. School performance profiles and school trends are also included. (BS)
