Student Teaching Triad Communication Survey.
McIntyre, D. John; Norris, William R.
A training instrument, designed for cooperating teachers and university supervisors, allows them to examine their willingness to give and receive feedback from their student teachers and each other. The "Student Teaching Triad Communication Survey" contains ten questions dealing with willingness to receive feedback and ten questions dealing with willingness to provide feedback. Each question contains a statement of a situation in which the possibility of conflict or misunderstanding exists. Two alternative resolutions are provided. Respondents may indicate which of the alternatives would be more characteristic of the way they would behave in the described situation. A numerical rating scale is provided which allows responses to be weighed toward one alternative or the other. The scoring system is devised to develop a profile of the individual's receptivity to giving and receiving feedback, and openness to full communication. (JD)
