Ethical Standards Casebook. Third Edition.
Callis, Robert; And Others
The first part of this casebook for counselors presents the 1981 Ethical Standards of the American Personnel and Guidance Association, now the American Association for Counseling and Development. The second part of the book presents individual ethical standards followed by several incidents intended to illustrate and clarify the meaning of the standard; the incidents vary in seriousness from gross unethical conduct to behavior reflecting poor practices. The third part of the casebook provides three free-standing and more typical incidents that must be examined in light of the standards to arrive at a proper ethical analysis. The fourth section of the book is a selected bibliography. Eight appendices, including various codes of ethics and federal legislation pertinent to the counseling field, conclude the book. (Of special interest to educational counselors are the final regulations implementing the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974). (BL)
