This workbook contains seven units designed to help secondary-level vocational education students develop the employability skills necessary to find, keep, and advance in a job. Addressed in the individual units of the workbook are the following topics: assessing individual values, abilities, and interests; finding a job; developing basic telephone usage, mathematics, and reading skills; working safely; conserving energy; advancing in a job; and sharing in the American free enterprise system. Each unit includes learning activities in the form of questions, puzzles, and case studies that are designed to help students master the competencies and subcompetencies covered in it. Also provided in the workbook are an answer key to the exercises, a list of selected references, and a list of publishers. (MN)
