This year-end report represents all of the materials produced in relation to the development and implementation of the Michigan Occupational Competency Assessment Center (MOCAC) during the 1978-79 project year. (The primary objective of MOCAC is to achieve the standardization of the methods, techniques, and criteria used to assess the occupational competency of current and future vocational instructors.) Discussed in the 13 sections of the report are MOCAC efforts to meet the following objectives for 1978-79: develop a Michigan policy manual, conduct assessments, select examiners and conduct a workshop to train them, certify examination sites, devise a follow-up system, develop a State norms table, update the MOCAC slide and tape presentation as well as the MOCAC brochure, conduct assessments, conduct four State and three National advisory committee meetings, conduct a workshop for interested parties concerning MOCAC operation, and conduct a workshop for teacher education personnel concerning interpretation of assessment results. Each of these sections contains some or all of the following: a narrative, a manual, one or more lists, one or more agendas, correspondence, MOCAC-developed standards, MOCAC-developed workshop materials, and minutes of meetings.
