Proceedings of the 1983 Conference of the National Academic Advising Association are presented. Contents include five general session papers that focus on the current roles played by academic advisers and future roles over the next decade. Summaries are also presented of 9 pre-conference workshops, 6 in-conference workshops and special sessions, 6 topical seminars, 5 focus sessions, 9 roundtable discussions, and 56 paper sessions.
