Gonwa, Jim; Clary, Joan Turner
The framework is intended to help staff develop curricula for mildly mentally retarded students in special and regular education and assist both educators and parents in evaluating the curricula. The framework is designed to help define the scope, continuity, and sequence of curricula. The following subject areas are addressed in the framework, with specific entries listed for preschool, primary, intermediate, junior high, and secondary levels: art, career education, citizenship, communication, family living, health, home management, leisure skills, math skills, measurement, money, music, personal living skills, physical education, reading, safety, science, social skills, time, travel, and writing.
