This curriculum guide consists of materials for use in teaching an advanced course in agricultural mechanics designed for 11th and 12th grade students. Addressed in the individual units of the guide are arc welding; oxy-acetylene welding; soldering; electricity; tractor maintenance, operation, and safety; small engines; farm structures; and cold metal. Each unit includes a series of lessons that contain some or all of the following: student objectives, a list of suggested teaching materials, a list of materials and audiovisual equipment necessary to teach the course, suggestions for field trips, student motivation techniques, a lesson outline, suggested student activities, and transparency masters.
