Drafting.
Hughes, Larry R.
This guide to teaching drafting, one in a series of instructional materials for junior high industrial arts education, is designed to assist teachers as they plan and implement new courses of study and as they make revisions and improvements in existing courses in order to integrate classroom learning with real-life experiences. This drafting course is organized in seven units, each containing objectives, vocabulary, teaching aids (such as transparency masters), suggested references, a sentence outline of the material in the unit, suggestions for materials for students, student handouts, suggested student activities, and a multiple-choice test with answer key. The units cover the following topics: introduction to drafting, communicating ideas visually, measurement, drafting in industry, the drafting language, representing three-dimensional objects on paper, and occupational information about drafting careers.
