This guidebook is for the use of leaders of programs developed to educate parents who wish to be the primary sexuality educators for their children. It consists of a number of curricula, some appropriate for parents of adolescents and others primarily for parents of young children. It includes outlines for class activities and discussions as well as references for further reading. Sections of the curriculum deal with: (1) exploration of parents' experience with sex education; (2) a child's cognitive, sexual, and moral development; (3) general sexuality-related information; (4) current or potential sexual issues at home; (5) values and moral attitudes; and (6) communication and problem solving skills.
