One of a series of general interest publications on science topics, the booklet provides those interested in landforms of the United States with a nontechnical introduction to the subject. Separate sections examine deposital versus erosional landforms in the central stable region of the United States, the Appalachian Highlands, the Ozark Region, the Cordilleran Mountain Region, the Great Plains Region, the Atlantic Coastal Plain, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Continental Shelf. The text is accompanied by a map showing the various physiographic regions and a key which provides a brief description of each region. (LH)
