This packet contains a presenter's outline and notes, an outline of major points, transparency masters, and the text of the presentation entitled "Finding Equity Issues in the Schools." The presentation is an introduction to educational equity and how it fits in with educational trends and thinking. The purpose of the presentation is to illustrate that (1) equity issues are integral components in several major educational themes and (2) excellence in education cannot be achieved unless equity issues in the school system are identified and satisfactorily resolved.
