This resource guide is intended to provide information on films, videotapes, filmstrips, audio-cassettes, and other related materials that can be used as teaching aids to support and enhance the high school art curriculum. The guide provides titles, the format(s) in which material is presented, the source of the material, and a short description of the contents. Where relevant, some suggestions are made regarding appropriate instructional level (foundations, basic, advanced) and special learning outcomes. The titles are alphabetically grouped into three parts. Part 1, media resources, presents 6 sub-sections on foundations and the visual expression areas, ceramics, drawing and painting, graphics, sculpture, and textiles. Part 2 discusses themes of media resources and includes 6 sub-sections entitled Circuses, Fairs, and Carnivals; The Figure; Main Street and the Built Environment; Phantasmagoria; The Sun; and Trees. The final section presents additional resources relating to the foundations and visual expression areas of the curriculum. Because of the varied nature of the foundations levels of study, titles in Parts 1 and 3 are cross-referenced. The titles in Parts 1 and 2 are available from the Provincial Educational Media Centre; the titles in Part 3 are available from a variety of sources. (LH)
