Brief descriptions are given on other reports, related to the improvement of the profession, by the National Commission on Excellence in Education, Carnegie Foundation for Advancement of Teaching, House Subcommittee on Postsecondary Education, Teacher Corps, National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification, and Teacher Education Council of State Colleges and Universities.
