Energy lessons, activities, and materials for vocational technology, science, English, and social studies classes are presented in this manual. Topic areas addressed in the sections include: (1) introduction to the current energy situation; (2) energy conservation; (3) preparation for energy careers; (4) energy for English classes, focusing on the writing about energy themes and experiences; (5) touring a power generating plant; (6) exploratory vocational lessons in energy; and (7) lessons with "Aunt Energinia." The latter lessons are taught in conjunction with "The Adventures of Aunt Energinia," classroom materials available from the Florida Power Corporation. Objectives, instructional strategies, and student materials (unless otherwise noted) are provided. All lessons presented are consistent with 10 fundamental principles about energy outlined in the introduction to the manual. (JN)
