To make teachers of all subjects aware of the possible applications of international school correspondence, recommendations from teachers with a great deal of experience in this area are reported. Research shows that school correspondence can make a useful contribution to instruction concerning the language, culture, and civilization of everyday life in other countries. It can improve international understanding and bring together young people whom tradition, distance, and ignorance may have kept apart. There are two major sections to the guide. The first deals with correspondence between individuals, the second with group correspondence between classes. (RM)
