This directory is designed to help women find information on organizations in cities and towns across the United States which exist to provide help for women with problems ranging from unemployment and lack of recognized job skills to physical abuse and unwanted pregnancy. It is arranged alphabetically by state. Within each state, the entries are organized by the following categories: battered women and rape victim services, career counseling services, displaced homemaker programs, planned parenthood clinics, skilled trades training centers, women's centers, women's commissions, and women's health centers.
