Presented is a description of services provided by the Indian Education Program of Clark County School District (Nevada) to approximately 475 American Indian students and their parents. Program objectives for the 1981-82 school year included: third and sixth grade students receiving tutorial services will increase their reading and math skills to meet State competency standards; second through sixth grade students receiving tutorial services will increase their reading and/or math skills to approach District means; 80% of eleventh and twelfth grade students receiving career guidance and counseling services will demonstrate career and/or continuing education goals; parents participating in parent and/or parent/student activities will respond favorably to program activities; and seventh through ninth grade students receiving tutorial services will increase reading and/or math skills to show gains of one or more grade equivalents. Each of the five objectives is described in detail outlining activities in obtaining the objective, an evaluation of the process, and results. Appendices contain program forms, test results, the Vocational Interest Inventory, student counseling evaluation form and results, cultural activities calendar and participants, parent evaluation form, and parent contact information form.
