Prepared in response to a growing interest in the two literatures of Canada, this guide presents annotations of more than 100 resource materials dealing with those literatures. Types of materials listed in the guide include (1) guides, (2) bibliographies of bibliographies, (3) general literary bibliographies, (4) indexes and book review sources, (5) theses bibliographies, (6) prose bibliographies, (7) theatre and poetry bibliographies, (8) translations bibliographies, (9) specialized bibliographies, (10) literary histories and handbooks, (11) biographies, (12) pseudonym directories, and (13) collections of quotations from Canadian works. In each section of the guide, those works dealing with both English Canadian and French Canadian literature are listed first, followed by those dealing primarily with English Canadian literature, then by those dealing primarily with French Canadian literature. The guide also provides a list of titles of Canadian literary periodicals and a subject/author index. (FL)
