This short booklet, intended for use by local unions who wish to establish a day care center in the workplace, provides some guidelines which may assist them to facilitate this process. Guidelines are given on issues such as the formation of contract language to be presented at the time of negotiations, ways to finance a child care center, types of facilities, operation schedules, ages of participants, staffing, and health and safety. Lists of useful publications and resources available from a variety of private and public organizations are attached. (MP)
