Section 3 provides suggestions and procedures for assessing LEP students in the following areas: English language proficiency; native language proficiency, vocational interest, vocational aptitude/skills; career awareness; educational achievement; and cultural adjustment. Section 4 describes some major ways of using assessment data, including counseling, placement, instructional planning, student's progress, and administrative planning.
