For more than 35 years, this Guide has been the standard reference work for recognizing learning acquired in military life. All the courses offered by the Army are listed and briefly described. Each course description includes the course title and number: the length of the course, and where and when it was offered; the course objectives; the type of instruction; and recommendations about the type and amount of college credit that should be granted to those who have taken the course. Keyword and course number indexes to the course descriptions are provided. In addition, the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) Subject Standardized Tests are listed, along with recommendations for the amount of college credit that should be granted to those who passed the tests.
