The curriculum manual provides objectives and suggested activities for intermediate grade handicapped children in the areas of reading, mathematics, written language, and study skills. Within each area objectives are correlated with one or more instructional activities. Objectives are provided for such skills as the following: vocabulary, context clues, literal comprehension, interpretive comprehension, number system, place value, addition and subtraction, fractions, measurement, graphs, geometry, syntax, mechanics of writing, spelling, editing, forms of letters, organizational study skills, work habits, outlining, and using references. An appendix lists suggested materials in each of the four major subject areas and provides the names and addresses of each publisher. Also appended is a continuous progress report form which lists all the curriculum objectives with space to record the date introduced, the date partially achieved, and the date mastered. (DB)
