A Cost Analysis Plan for the National Preventive Dentistry Demonstration Program.
Foch, Craig B.
The National Preventive Dentistry Demonstration Project (NPDDP) delivers school-based preventive dental care to approximately 14,000 children in ten United States cities. The program, begun in 1976, is to be conducted over a six and one-half year period. The costing definitions and allocation rules to be used in the project are the principal subjects of this document. Information is presented on costs of labor, capital, materials, and overhead, donations of goods and services, participation rates, and phase one procedures. Plans are outlined for phases two and three of the NPDDP and include consideration of causes of cost variation at different sites, and planning for future operation of the program. Appended are tables providing information on sites, regimens, staffs, procedures, and forms. Also appended are costing definitions and allocation rules. (JD)
