The four reports in this collection from the Minnesota State Dissemination Leadership Project (SDLP) provide an overview of the activities of the second year of the project; a description of the planning process, logistical problems, and conduct of a national conference for state dissemination representatives and state policy makers; an evaluation of the conference; and a summary of the use of telecommunications to facilitate project activities. In addition to the planning for and conduct of this annual conference, project activities described include the promotion of information exchange among state representatives and the publication of a newsletter and directories. Presentations, group discussions, and mini-sessions at the conference addressed various facets of the theme, Effective SEA Dissemination Leadership: Coordinating Roles and Resources, and the assessment group found that reactions to the conference were generally favorable. A brief experience at the end of the contract year with the use of computer-assisted teleconferencing to overcome the communication barriers imposed by geography and distance is also described. (LLS)
