Utilization of Residence Hall Facilities, Fall 1980 with Trends from Fall 1974.

Data collected in the seventh annual survey of fall 1980 are presented with summary data from fall 1974 through fall 1980 on the use of residence hall facilities. In addition to a preface and introduction, a summary of data and definitions is provided. Part One offers summary tables for fall 1974 through fall 1980: total and percent of use of net revenue-producing adjusted design capacity; non-revenue and revenue-producing use of residence hall for purposes other than resident student occupancy; and number of students per resident assistant. Part Two contains detailed tables for fall 1980 on: use of original design capacity of residence hall facilities; use of net revenue-producing adjusted design capacity; and resident assistants, bed rental waivers and number of students per resident assistant. Part Three contains a publication list. In the summary of data, several results are noted, such as: in the fall of 1980, the total current use of residence hall facilities (headcount) was reported to be 66,003; the net revenue adjusted design capacity for the fall of 1980 was reported to be 61,912 bedcount; and of the total use, 65,834 or 99.7 percent was for resident student use.
