Creative Ideas for Small Schools.
Lewis, Anne C.; And Others
Contributed by members of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Small School Districts Network, this collection of ideas to assist administrators in small schools contains brief descriptions of programs which are intended to improve the level of education in all rural and small schools. Eight categories of suggestions include descriptions of successful experiences and approaches used by administrators across the country dealing with: (1) broadening the curriculum; (2) working with teachers; (3) scheduling successfully; (4) cooperating and sharing; (5) helping students grow wisely and well; (6) managing small districts; (7) cutting costs; and (8) improving school and community relations. A resource list identifies the principals, superintendents, and other administrators who contributed to the collection, and locates their districts. (JD)
