Project TAKE-OFF: An Approach to Mainstreaming. Training Manual.

The manual describes a training program for mainstreaming visually impaired, hearing impaired, educable mentally retarded, learning disabled, and speech impaired preschoolers. Training programs are presented separately for administrators, special education teachers, classroom teachers, and aides. Skills, knowledge, and attitude objectives are listed for each staff and specific roles and functions are described. Sample student records, forms, and lesson plans are interspersed throughout. The section on classroom teacher training treats peer training, training conferences, the individualized education programs, and curriculum revisions. Appended are sample forms and guides. (CL)
