Report on Past and Present Censorship of Non-Book Media in Public Libraries.
This study of nonprint media censorship focuses on the American Library Association's position, follows up actual censorship cases, and examines selected libraries' attitudes and policies toward nonprint materials. It concludes that a "primacy of print" attitude has established a de facto form of censorship, and recommends seven correctional courses of action. Appendices include outlines of both institutional and individual considerations explored during on site visits, a selected bibliography, and budgetary information. (RAA)
