Resulting from a 3 year project to develop and test competency based training programs for camp personnel serving the physically handicapped, the directory provides information on camping services available to the handicapped. States are listed alphabetically under the appropriate American Camping Association regional divisions. Agencies are categorized according to the services offered: both primary and referral (knowledgeable of camping services and also able to refer to other knowledgeable sources); primary (provide the public with information about available camping services to the handicapped and offer technical assistance and consultation); referral (refer the public to primary resource agencies or individuals); and additional resources (additional agencies which might be able to provide information). The address, phone number, and contact person are provided for each agency. Also given are a list of directories for the various regions and the names and addresses of national associations. (SBH)
